Arena scoreboards in Texas

XL AV specifies indoor arena scoreboards in Texas for community rinks, campus event halls, and multi-purpose bowls. Fixed LUXVISION PROLUX Rugged installs sized from seating distance and the building calendar.

Texas indoor bowls with mixed calendars

Many Texas arenas are not single-sport rooms. They host graduations, concerts, rodeos, and school events. XL AV specifies an indoor wall that can take that calendar, with scoring as a layout rather than a sealed numeric cabinet.

Dallas Fort Worth has a separate metroplex arena scoreboard article.

Throw distance in a larger hall

Arena seating often pushes pitch and array larger than a typical school gym. We map farthest seat and whether live camera shares the canvas before we count cabinets.

PROLUX Rugged still operates around 2,100 nits under house light, with front service for walls on structure.

Event staff handoffs

Athletics, facilities, and rental clients may all touch the system. We specify modes and train the people you designate at commissioning. Spare modules stay on site.

Typical uses

  • Texas community arenas
  • Campus event bowls
  • Mixed sport and ceremony

PROLUX Rugged

The indoor gym wall

Impact-resistant face and trim

A protective LED mask keeps air-inflated sports balls off the diodes. Micro-grooves help perceived contrast. Perimeter trim protects edges as part of the mechanical design.

Quarter-turn metal-to-metal modules

Earlier rugged products could lose magnetic modules on a hard hit. PROLUX Rugged uses a quarter-turn metal-to-metal interlock so modules stay on the wall and still service from the front.

7-year sports-impact warranty

Current PROLUX Rugged warranty context is 7 years, including impact from air-inflated sports balls over 6 inches in diameter, subject to manufacturer terms.

Full front service

Modules, cabling, and feeder access are designed from the front. That is required when a gym display is mounted tight to a wall with no rear aisle.

Fanless thermal design

Gyms collect dust. Fans ingest that dust and then fail. PROLUX Rugged uses the cabinet as a heat sink with Mean Well supplies. There is no cooling fan in the documented architecture.

Under-driven, efficient LEDs

Pixels capable of about 3,900 nits are operated around 2,100 nits. The intent is less heat and less electrical infrastructure than driving the diodes to their maximum.

Repairable hardware

Locking power and data cables replace hub boards. Neutrik-style power and Cat6 keystone data keep field repairs inside normal technician practice.

Canadian-made PROLUX

PROLUX is LUXVISION's Canadian-made family. XL AV specifies it as a North American-supported gym platform.

  • Fanless Mean Well power supplies; no hub-board architecture
  • 7-year warranty context including impact from air-inflated balls over 6 inches in diameter

Questions

High school football outdoor board?

No. This page is indoor arenas and multi-purpose bowls. Outdoor stadium faces are a different family.

Rodeo and dry-floor?

Yes, when the building hosts them. Say so in the inquiry so control and audio cover those modes.

How is this different from gym scoreboards in Texas?

Different room type and calendar. Arena pages focus on bowls, ice or dry-floor conversions, and event handoffs. Gym pages focus on school and rec gyms.

Municipality URLs?

Available under /tx/ when a city page helps. This article is the statewide arena scoreboards phrase.
