Lecture theaters

XL AV designs lecture theater systems for instruction and hybrid teaching: presentation displays selected for content and seating, with LUXVISION ECOLUX HD X COB evaluated for suitable LED applications, professional audio with lectern and wearable microphones, feedback-controlled speech, and instructional sources including document cameras.

Display for instructional distance

Lecture theaters need a canvas sized for the seating plan. XL AV specifies LUXVISION ECOLUX HD X COB when that fine-pitch indoor family matches viewing distance and content. Display selection also considers image size, lighting, mounting, and service access; the gym-oriented PROLUX Rugged family is evaluated where impact exposure is relevant.

Structure, power, processing, and service access are part of the display design. Hybrid capture or overflow feeds are included when the project requires them.

Audio and instructional sources

Faculty need reliable speech from the lectern and while moving. Wearable microphones, lectern microphones, and loudspeaker coverage are designed together with feedback control.

Document cameras and other teaching sources are wired into a switching path that matches how classes are actually taught, with mute and volume controls that staff can use without a technician in the room.

Lighting

House lighting is coordinated with the display and any camera capture in the project. Scenes for lecture, demo, and exam or low-light modes are specified when lighting control is in scope.

Sound

Speech is the primary audio job. Lectern and wearable microphones, DSP, loudspeakers, and feedback control are commissioned for intelligibility. Program audio from PCs and media players follows the same gain structure.

Control

Typical control includes display on/off and input, source select for PC and document camera, microphone mute, and volume presets. Training covers the daily class workflow.

How we deliver the project

We start with the room: dimensions, viewing distance, how it is used, structure, power, and whether audio, lighting, and live video are in the project. Then design documents, coordination with the facilities team, installation, commissioning, and operator training. Spare modules stay on site so a failed cabinet is swapped, not left dark.

Typical uses

  • Lecture and hybrid instruction
  • IMAG and presentation
  • Lectern and wearable microphones
  • Document cameras and source switching

System scope

ECOLUX HD X COB display

LUXVISION ECOLUX HD X is a COB fine-pitch indoor LED family for instructional viewing distances. Pitch and canvas size are selected from seating layout and content type. Exact product numbers are confirmed against the current family sheet for the room.

Speech reinforcement

Loudspeakers and DSP are designed for speech intelligibility across the seating. Program playback from presentation sources is included when required.

Lectern and wearable microphones

Lectern gooseneck or boundary microphones and wearable or handheld wireless microphones are specified for faculty and guest speakers. RF coordination is part of wireless designs.

Feedback control

Microphone and loudspeaker placement, equalization, and automatic feedback management are configured so speech stays clear at working levels.

Document cameras and sources

Document cameras, PCs, and other instructional sources are connected through switching that faculty can operate for routine classes.

Control and training

Room control covers display power and inputs, source select, microphone mute, and volume presets. Staff and faculty are trained at commissioning.

  • LUXVISION ECOLUX HD X COB indoor LED for lecture viewing distances
  • Professional loudspeakers and DSP for speech and program
  • Lectern and wearable or handheld microphone options
  • Feedback-controlled speech path
  • Document camera and instructional source switching
  • Operator presets for routine class use

Questions

Which display family is used?

Selection follows the actual seating geometry and content detail. LUXVISION ECOLUX HD X COB is evaluated for suitable fine-pitch LED applications. Projection and flat panels are also considered against the room requirements.

Can you include wearable microphones?

Yes. Lectern and wearable or handheld wireless microphones are common in lecture theater designs, with RF planning when wireless is used.

How is feedback handled?

Microphone and loudspeaker design, equalization, and feedback management are part of commissioning for speech reinforcement.

Are document cameras included?

Document cameras and other instructional sources are specified and switched when they are in the project scope.
