Arena scoreboards in Dallas Fort Worth area

XL AV specifies indoor arena scoreboards for the Dallas Fort Worth area. Community and campus bowls on both sides of the metroplex get site-specific PROLUX Rugged walls sized from seating and content.

Metroplex bowls with event pressure

Dallas Fort Worth community and campus arenas rotate sport and ceremonies quickly. XL AV specifies a wall and control path that building staff can hand to commencement or tournament crews without rebuilding the system each time.

City arena URLs under /tx/ remain when you need a municipality page. This article is the area phrase.

Audio that matches the bowl

Speech for ceremonies and program audio for sport belong with the scoreboard path. We specify or integrate DSP and loudspeakers so the upper seats are not left out.

Pixel map per building

Districts and cities may own several bowls. Each still gets its own survey and controller sizing. Shared training is possible; each wall gets its own pixel map.

Typical uses

  • Metroplex community arenas
  • Campus multi-purpose bowls
  • Ceremony and sport video

PROLUX Rugged

The indoor gym wall

Full front service

Modules, cabling, and feeder access are designed from the front. That is required when a gym display is mounted tight to a wall with no rear aisle.

Fanless thermal design

Gyms collect dust. Fans ingest that dust and then fail. PROLUX Rugged uses the cabinet as a heat sink with Mean Well supplies. There is no cooling fan in the documented architecture.

Under-driven, efficient LEDs

Pixels capable of about 3,900 nits are operated around 2,100 nits. The intent is less heat and less electrical infrastructure than driving the diodes to their maximum.

Repairable hardware

Locking power and data cables replace hub boards. Neutrik-style power and Cat6 keystone data keep field repairs inside normal technician practice.

Canadian-made PROLUX

PROLUX is LUXVISION's Canadian-made family. XL AV specifies it as a North American-supported gym platform.

Impact-resistant face and trim

A protective LED mask keeps air-inflated sports balls off the diodes. Micro-grooves help perceived contrast. Perimeter trim protects edges as part of the mechanical design.

Quarter-turn metal-to-metal modules

Earlier rugged products could lose magnetic modules on a hard hit. PROLUX Rugged uses a quarter-turn metal-to-metal interlock so modules stay on the wall and still service from the front.

7-year sports-impact warranty

Current PROLUX Rugged warranty context is 7 years, including impact from air-inflated sports balls over 6 inches in diameter, subject to manufacturer terms.

  • Canadian-made PROLUX Rugged indoor dvLED
  • Known pitches: P3.3 and P4
  • Cabinets: 1280 by 720 mm (~58") and 1600 by 900 mm (~72"), both 16:9
  • Common 16:9 walls from about 116" to 347" diagonal by arraying cabinets
  • Operating brightness about 2,100 nits (LED capability ~3,900 nits, under-driven)
  • Up to 16-bit colour and ~4,200 Hz refresh in the documented generation
  • Fanless Mean Well power supplies; no hub-board architecture
  • 7-year warranty context including impact from air-inflated balls over 6 inches in diameter

Questions

Pro sports venue package?

This page is community and campus indoor bowls. Major league center-hung systems are a different conversation.

Same product as DFW gym scoreboards?

Same PROLUX Rugged family when the room is indoor and impact-prone. Arena pages address bowl calendars and event handoffs; gym pages address school and rec gyms.

Can commencement share the wall?

Yes. That is a common DFW campus use. Control and audio should be included in the project if those nights matter.

Outdoor?

No.
