Canadian conferencing technology from Calgary

Nureva is a Canadian company based in Calgary, Alberta. Its audio conferencing systems combine microphone pickup, loudspeaker playback, and onboard processing to support conversations between people in a room and participants joining remotely.

For XL AV, the useful starting point is the meeting itself: a few people collaborating in a huddle space, a boardroom discussion around a long table, or a training session with people moving around the room. We select the audio, camera, display, and controls together so the complete system supports those activities.

Microphone Mist technology and clear conversations

Microphone Mist technology uses physical microphone arrays and processing to create thousands of virtual pickup points throughout a space. These are electronically generated listening points, rather than thousands of separate installed microphones. The aim is consistent pickup as people speak from different seats, turn toward a colleague, or move to a presentation area.

Continuous autocalibration adapts to changes in the acoustic environment. Conferencing processing manages microphone levels and acoustic echo, helping prevent remote participants’ voices from returning to them through the room microphones. We still assess background noise, reverberation, and placement. Audio processing works best when the room and installation are suitable.

Huddle spaces and smaller meeting rooms

A huddle room needs clear pickup at close range, comfortable playback, and a simple way to join a call. We review the seating, table position, room noise, and available mounting space before choosing the audio system. The HDL200 is the smallest system in the current HDL range and is an option to evaluate for suitable smaller meeting and huddle spaces.

Nureva positions the HDL200 for medium-sized rooms. A compact room does not need to be equipped to its maximum coverage rating. XL AV will check whether its coverage, physical size, and connection method suit the space and budget. Camera framing, display size, and laptop or room-computer connections receive the same attention.

HDL200: an integrated microphone and speaker bar

The HDL200 combines microphones and loudspeakers in one bar, with USB connectivity to the conferencing computer. Nureva lists coverage for rooms up to 18 × 18 ft (5.5 × 5.5 m). Wall and display mounting options allow us to coordinate the bar with the room’s presentation surface.

This is a useful option when a room needs dedicated conferencing audio with a separately selected camera. We confirm the USB connection distance, computer compatibility, mounting arrangement, and device-management requirements during design.

HDL310: larger meeting rooms and boardrooms

The HDL310 combines one microphone and speaker bar with a connect module for rooms up to 30 × 30 ft (9.1 × 9.1 m). Its conferencing processing is included in the system. Console Direct provides a network connection for remote management without relying on a permanently attached room computer for that management link.

For a corporate meeting room, we evaluate pickup around the full table and at presentation positions. We also plan camera coverage and the supported room-platform configuration. Nureva lists Microsoft Teams and Zoom certification for the HDL310; the exact room configuration and current platform requirements are checked for the project.

HDL410: extra-large boardrooms and collaboration spaces

The HDL410 uses two microphone and speaker bars with a connect module for spaces up to 35 × 55 ft (10.7 × 16.8 m). Its unified coverage map processes the microphones from both bars together, supporting pickup across a larger meeting area.

We consider it for deep boardrooms, larger training rooms, and flexible collaboration spaces where one bar does not provide the required coverage. Bar placement, room acoustics, camera positions, and the paths people use while speaking determine the design. Nureva lists Microsoft Teams and Zoom certification for this model as well.

HDX: modular audio for broader room requirements

The HDX family combines audio bars, a system hub, and optional microphone pods. It adds distributed playback and configuration-dependent features for in-room amplification, assistive listening, and camera integration. The five configurations below provide different combinations of coverage and capability.

At our October 16, 2026 review, Nureva’s product pages mark HDX as coming soon and offer preorder enquiries. We confirm delivery timing and released features before specifying it for a scheduled installation. The room dimensions are manufacturer planning limits; actual fit depends on the layout, acoustics, and installation.

HDX 2 bar: conferencing and distributed playback

Two audio bars and a system hub cover rooms up to 30 × 30 ft (9.1 × 9.1 m). Nureva lists full-room microphone coverage, distributed audio, Adaptive Voice Amplification with compatible external microphones, and built-in Auracast assistive listening.

We would evaluate this configuration when a meeting room needs those in-room audio functions alongside conferencing. The external microphone, listening receivers, and room equipment must be selected for the intended use. This base configuration does not include the 3D sound-location features listed for the larger HDX combinations.

HDX 2 bar + 1 pod: enhanced pickup and flexible layouts

This configuration adds a microphone pod to two bars and a hub, with a stated maximum room size of 35 × 40 ft (10.7 × 12.2 m). The pod strengthens pickup, while 3D sound-location data supports compatible camera tracking and switching.

It is an option to assess for flexible meeting and training layouts. Divisible-room operation requires a complete design, including the systems on each side, partition-state detection, audio routing, cameras, and controls. We check the supported combination before promising automatic changes when a partition moves.

HDX 4 bar: extra-large meeting and training rooms

Four audio bars and a hub extend the stated coverage to 40 × 60 ft (12.2 × 18.3 m). The configuration includes distributed audio, full-room microphone pickup, Adaptive Voice Amplification, Auracast assistive listening, and 3D sound-location data.

For a large corporate meeting space, the additional bars let us plan playback and pickup around a larger occupied area. We coordinate mounting with the display, cameras, furnishings, and architectural finishes.

HDX 4 bar + 1 pod: additional microphone coverage

Four bars, one microphone pod, and a hub retain the 40 × 60 ft (12.2 × 18.3 m) stated maximum room size while adding enhanced pickup. The pod can be wall or ceiling mounted according to the room design.

We evaluate the pod where presentation positions or training layouts need additional pickup coverage. Adding a pod does not automatically increase the published room-size limit; its position should address a defined requirement.

HDX 4 bar + 2 pod: Adaptive Voice Lift

The largest listed configuration combines four bars, two microphone pods, and a hub for rooms up to 40 × 60 ft (12.2 × 18.3 m). It adds Adaptive Voice Lift, which reinforces people’s voices within the room using the installed microphone system.

This can be relevant to a large boardroom or training space where participants need help hearing one another locally as well as being heard remotely. Adaptive Voice Lift and amplification using an external microphone serve different operating needs. We establish the required function, suitable listening level, acoustic conditions, and supported configuration before selection.

Integrate conferencing audio with LUXVISION HD X displays

A corporate boardroom can combine Nureva audio with a LUXVISION ECOLUX HD X LED display for remote participants, shared documents, and presentations. The HD X family offers fine-pitch COB display options suited to evaluating close-view meeting-room applications. We select image size and pixel pitch around seating distances and the smallest text people need to read.

The conferencing computer or room appliance provides the connection between the audio system, camera, and video output feeding the LED processor. XL AV designs and tests that complete path, including USB extension where needed, presentation switching, audio routing, mute and volume controls, and camera framing.

The audio bars need positions that support pickup and playback while keeping the image clear. Camera height, sightlines, display brightness, ventilation, and access for maintenance are coordinated with the room layout. A small huddle room may use a compact display, while a large boardroom can justify an HD X media wall sized for its audience.

Setup, management, and integration tools

Nureva App supports setup and configuration, while Nureva Console provides remote device management and monitoring. Nureva Developer Toolkit supplies APIs for supported control, management, room data, and sound-location integrations. Camera automation still requires compatible cameras and a supported integration.

Nureva includes a two-year Nureva Pro service plan with its systems, with enhanced services and management features. We review the current model entitlements, IT access, account ownership, update procedures, and longer-term service options as part of the proposal. This helps an IT team manage a single boardroom or a wider room rollout.

XL AV selects and commissions the complete room

We begin with room dimensions, seating plans, meeting platforms, presentation activities, and the experience required by people joining remotely. We assess background noise and reverberation, then choose the audio configuration, camera, display, connectivity, and controls to suit the space. Maximum room dimensions alone are insufficient to specify a system.

At commissioning, we test conversations from representative seats and standing positions, remote playback, simultaneous speech, mute behaviour, content sharing, and camera views. We coordinate processing across the conferencing platform and installed audio system so echo cancellation and routing work as intended.

XL AV can help plan a huddle room, standard meeting room, executive boardroom, or training space using the appropriate Nureva configuration. Bring your room plan, existing equipment, preferred meeting platform, and budget to a consultation. We will establish the product fit, integration scope, availability, and staff training required for the project.
