XL AV uses Extron for signal routing and control where the project requires it, with documentation for facilities and IT.
Control, switching, and audio processing
Extron provides control processors, TouchLink interfaces, switching, signal distribution, and audio DSP products. XL AV evaluates the range for classrooms, meeting rooms, training facilities, and presentation systems.
The design includes the source and destination count, signal formats, cable distances, audio processing, and operator interface. DTP products extend compatible AV and control signals over specified twisted-pair cabling; supported features depend on the model combination.
Signal compatibility and room configuration
We review source resolution, display compatibility, EDID, content protection, scaling, and cable requirements. Switching and extension equipment are selected as a complete path. USB connections and conferencing functions are included where the application requires them.
XL AV configures controls for routine room operation and DSP routing for microphones and playback. Commissioning checks switching, audio levels, control feedback, and startup and shutdown sequences. Network permissions and maintenance access are coordinated with IT for the specified devices.
Information for a system design
Provide a list of sources, displays, microphone channels, and required room actions. Identify existing Extron equipment by model and supply configuration files if available. For LED projects, the source output and processing path are checked with the selected LUXVISION display processor.
